We had finally found, we thought, a truly squirrel-proof bird feeder.  Lasted all winter with nothing but birds.  Then the spring squirrel crop was born.  We had not counted on baby raiders getting into the sunflower seed.  Does he not look guilty?  Not that I would actually try anthropomorphizin...

Cutleaf ToothwortWould she be as beautiful if no one saw her? Not one cell of her being can man create, and yet, he may carelessly trample the delicate perfection and never know she existed.  Whose loss is this?  Will the wind cease refreshing?  Will the stream stop singing, or the rain stop fall...
