I am about to be a college graduate. What should be some of the first steps I take when intering the real estate industry?

We all know that we are dealing with the economy at this present momnet. If you could give any adivse to somone on surviving the economy what would it be? Not only surviving the economy but being succesful in Real Estate during this time?

For those who have Blackberry's, iphone's, and PDA's can you honestly say it helps your Real Estate business or any business for that matter? How much does it help your business? Should we all acquire a fancy phone device?
