Luckily I have wi-fi, and can get online from the garage. If given a choice, that is where I am. Between MLS searches, arranging marketing, and pre-viewing homes, I will try to get in a little welder time, or at least clean some of the tools from the last wrenching session.

Gwinnett County Public Schools are undergoing a redistricting plan due to growth in the county.  The new plan is expected to begin with the 2010 school year.  It was announced on October 2nd, 2009.  There are several dates to keep in mind: November 4, Deadline for completion of boundary input for...

There was a very long comment on a recent post.  I felt in needed a long response.  I'm not going to reprint the whole comment here... feel free to follow the links... Here we go... a) The fact that real estate is often a leveraged investment has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion...  b...

It was a lock... I was going to the Lynchburg rebarcamp later this week.  All of the arrangements had been made, clearances had been obtained from the local authorities (that would be my wife and kids).  I was going to ride up with another local agent and then get dropped off in Gatlinburg for a ...

My answer would be almost never... and constantly.  A couple of times per year I try to break away from the machines and enjoy a little real off-time.  Not much... just a few days here and there.  Heck, I've been known to work through issues while waiting my turn on the Rockin' Roller Coaster at ...

My wife has been wanting a Roomba for a long time.  Kind of like I have wanted a TIG welder for a long time.  I have a MIG welder... and it works quite well for what I do, but the TIG would make prettier welds.  I don't NEED it, but it would be a little cooler.  We HAVE a vacuum cleaner, and it d...

If you weren't there, Chris Brogan, co-author of Trust Agents recently spoke at the New Media Atlanta conference.  It was excellent. He ran through several genres of topics, and even addressed the "Back Noise" channel... by putting it on the screen for all to see.  (Be aware, there is a bit of pr...

And while we are at it, why don't we expand it to cover everyone.  Do you think the NAR would get behind this?  Honestly, I bet that they would see that this would be ludicrous.  Not that it wouldn't be GREAT for real estate agents, we would be rolling in it.  But, obviously it would cost WAY too...

Keep in mind that I am speaking metaphorically... I'm NEVER wearing make-up ;^ ) A couple of months ago, Mrs. GarageGuy and I were out during the afternoon.  It was a simple errand, and in the interest of time... she didn't put on make-up.  We weren't going to run into anyone, right?  About an ho...

I just posted this up on my LilburnDwellings blog.  I got a email from Senator Chambliss today outlining options for those in the Atlanta area that have been affected by the floods last week.  It details some of the resources available to those that suffered non-insured damages from the floods. R...

While at New Media Atlanta last week I was introduced to a new tool toy.  BackNoise.  I think the easiest ways to describe it are as follows...  Back Noise: baak_noiz,  1. Useful tool to gauge reactions to speakers or other aspects of an event, allowing event participants to freely exchange infor...
