I have to say that I am deeply peeved.  The country is in the worst financial crisis since the one caused by Jimmy Carter.  Congress has not only been asleep at the switch for a decade, but they have actively roadblocked meaningful reforms and investigations into WHY we have the problems we face....

There are a few things that need to be said up front... This is NOT my story. This is the story from someone that was on US Airways Flight #1549 when it went into the Hudson River. The story is that of a friend of a co-worker of my wife... not quite direct, but we had an email conversation before...

I have been kicking this around for a little while, and have even extended the offer to a few people... but no takers yet.  Here is the skinny: I am finishing up a major overhaul of GarageHomesUSA.com.  It is my real estate website that focuses on homes with really cool garages, garage toys and t...

I meant to say it exactly like that...  I think I made up a new word... Techno-disenabled - A situation that occurs when technology performs a function that we used to be able to perform... and because the technology now performs the function, we are unable to do it ourselves.  I was thinking tod...

My "real" website has been sitting over in a corner all by itself... bored and lonely while I have been working over this blog, LilburnDwellings, GwinnettGarageGuy and a couple of websites for my 4 wheel drive club. The article in the AJC Sunday has really forced me to bring that back to the fron...

I just got back with a meeting with a potential client.  We had a great time chatting about the market, her house, the area and where she wants to move back to.  We shared stories about family and friends.  In fact, it was less a meeting than a long awaited meeting between friends.  She was refer...

I wrote about why I don't think government spending is that answer to the current crisis, but there is something that I didn't include in that post... because it deserves a post all of its own.  And it comes down even more specifically why the government should NOT be the source of spending for t...

and I don't think that PrezBO and the Democrats get it in ANY way shape or form.  Last night, while speaking to the Democrat Congressional Caucus, Obama acknowledged that the stimulus bill was indeed a giant spending bill...  He went so far as to say that was the purpose.  But there was something...

I just ran across a story in the AJC about a bill before the legislature that would force cities and counties to not ignore foreclosures when they are appraising homes for tax purposes. Basically, currently and historically, cities and counties don't count "distressed sales" when they calculate t...
