judytuscano: Fourth of July - Closer to Home
- 06/22/08 06:22 AM
This summer many more people will be staying local during the celebration of our country's birth. The Fourth of July is traditionally one of the most popular holidays for travel but due to the escallating prices on gas, food and other items many people will opt to stay closer to home. This may prove out to be a good thing for your local economy. People will spend their time and money in the businesses and events that happen to be closer to home thus shoring up our own communities. Perhaps the neighbors you've wanted to meet but usually wave to when you (14 comments)

judytuscano: Why would a bank consider accepting a Short Sale?
- 04/08/08 02:57 AM
Short Sales in the real estate market have started to become more prevalent in this topsy turvy market. Some may ask the question, "why would the banks even consider taking a short sale rather than foreclose?" As most of us know, given the current economic crunch and the fact that many more people are now surviving week to week than say just a short five years ago, many people are facing the possibility of foreclosure in the near future. The lists of foreclosure properties are growing exponentially and the burden of keeping them in somewhat decent condition is falling into the hands of (14 comments)
judytuscano: Short Sale Closing
- 04/07/08 12:03 PM
Well we had another Short Sale close today and I can't express how good it feels to help our seller out of a tight spot. As they walked out of the closing company office I told them to take a deep breath. They did and now they feel like a great weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Even though they left with only the shirts on their backs, they now have an opportunity to start fresh. Is their credit affected? Probably, but for them it was worth the price not to be drowning under the mortgage they could no longer (11 comments)
judytuscano: Spring Ahead......Daylight Savings Time
- 03/08/08 09:52 AM
It is only March 8th, 2008 but this is the year that the powers that be have decided in the best interest of ?????? we should turn the clocks ahead one hour starting at 2AM tomorrow. So this is one of the many reminders you will get today that before you retire for the night, MOVE YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR. If you forget, there could be consequences like; missing church, missing an appointment, being late for a family function or even worse you may be late for work! My plan to avoid any of the above is to turn in an hour early (10 comments)
judytuscano: Approaching Record Snowfall in NH.......would you show your listing????
- 03/02/08 06:59 AM
New Hampshire is near record snowfall for the winter of 2007-2008. Thus-far our state capital, Concord, NH has recorded over 112 inches of the white stuff and as we saw on Saturday, 3/1/08, when 10 +/- inches fell we are close to breaking the all time record 122 inches. Since there is still almost a month left to this winter season we are not out of the woods yet. As I made my way north on Interstate Route 93 Saturday at the tail end of the most recent storm, I passed several cars, off the road due to slick conditions. I pressed on because the (17 comments)
judytuscano: Short Sales take some extra time....so buyers should be prepared to be patient
- 02/21/08 11:08 AM
We have been working with a couple short sales recently and as most of you know they tend to take a bit longer than your conventional sale due to the Third Party Approval. Well, my hubby and partner, Mike is great at negotiating so he is the one that handles the details of short sales for our seller clients. We got approval from one the other day which was started in January. It is scheduled to close on February 27th. We were in the office yesterday and we got notified that the buyers had STOPPED PAYMENT on their deposit check!!!!!! What happened???? They decided that (20 comments)

Well the show has aired and now all the world knows that New Hampshire rocks. Click here to view a little show. Do you realize that New Hampshire had the most volunteers for this build than any before? Over 4500 people volunteered their time, energy, enthusiasm, money, materials and most of all their hearts to give the Voisine Family of New Hampshire a new home back in October 2007. Mike and I volunteered a day and worked the telephones for the builders RJ Moreau in Bedford, NH. To be a part of future makeover projects you can register at www.rjmoreau.com . judytuscano: Changes are in the air.....Moving.....how do you handle it??????
- 01/23/08 11:06 AM
I don't know about you but I have experienced a lot of change in the past month or two. We are moving again. This will be our second move in five years. After the last move I said I didn't want to do it again, ever. Moving is so stressful. Having your home "on the market" means having it in showing condition each day, before you head out the door to work. This can be a full time job in and of itself. Then there is dealing with the objections from buyers on your home. Things you think are great about your house seem (19 comments)

The New Hampshire Primary elections for president of the United States of America are upon us. On Tuesday, January 8, 2008 the first in the nation primary election will be held. You can't miss it, you can't forget it, you can't ignore it because everywhere you look in the state you will see a campaign sign. People will use any vacant space or creative way to display their favorite candidates campaign sign. Do you think that people really base their vote on the number of signs they see for a certain candidate? You drive down the street and there are so many signs lined (20 comments)
judytuscano: Who would have guessed??????
- 01/02/08 08:45 AM
Who would have guessed that when I wrote SNOW............It's only November 9th that we would have a record amount of snow here in New Hampshire for the month of December? We have enjoyed a white Christmas and enough snow that the ski slopes have been open since the beginning of December. Children (old and young alike) got to enjoy the new sleds, skates, skies, snowmobiles, etc. they received from Santa over their Christmas vacations. Typically here in southern New Hampshire, December is a changeable month featuring one or two snowstorms with some warm enough days to melt the snow in between leaving us wondering if (35 comments)
judytuscano: Email from loved ones
- 12/30/07 04:12 AM
Have you ever received an email that offended you in one way or another from a friend or family member? What do you do to stop receiving that type of emails? Do you answer with rage or anger? I was at a party for my extended family yesterday and asked my nieces, nephews, brothers, etc. for their email addresses in order to improve communication in our family. While most were more than willing to share, some were quite reluctant. Perhaps they have had some bad experiences so I decided to write an email to all who shared their addresses with me. judytuscano: Brentwood - The Rockingham County Seat
- 12/21/07 12:21 AM
Rockingham County in New Hampshire is the most heavily populated county in the state. For me Rockingham County offers the best of many worlds. It has the seacoast area consisting of about 17 miles of ocean front stretching from Seabrook in the south to Portsmouth in the north.
There is the downtown areas of Portsmouth and Exeter where the old world charm of yesteryear combine with the nuances of modern small city living. Then there are the small towns that dot the countryside of the majority of New Hampshire and in particular, Rockingham County. Of all these towns, Brentwood stands out (19 comments)
judytuscano: The 11th Annual Ladies Victorian Christmas Tea

Tonight was the big night for us at Grace Ministries International in Brentwood, NH. We held our annual Christmas Tea and from the feedback I heard as people were exiting the building, it was a huge success. To check out some pictures, click here. This event is simply put, elegant and fun. Each table is decorated differently and each hostess puts on a spread fit for the queen herself. I was joined tonight by my friend, fellow Realtor and blogger here on AR, Monika McGillicuddy. The entertainment featured a variety of acts from musical solos, dancers, a cellist, a violin duet to Vox Jubilante (the group (12 comments)

judytuscano: Response from an inmate.................when I went to jail
- 12/01/07 12:38 PM
Some of you may remember that I went to jail just before Thanksgiving. For those who don't remember, you can read about it on my post "have you ever been to jail?". Anyway, my group, Vox Jubilante, received a letter addressed to the prison chaplin today and I wanted to share a bit of it here with you. My prayer after this experience was that these men would remember the music and somehow it would help them. This man who has asked to remain nameless told us in his letter that about a year ago he was at the point where he (11 comments)
