Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill make up the Tar Heel State's Golden Triangle -- a land of "tees, trees, and PhDs." A population center of more than 1.4 million, the Triangle is home to three major universities and several smaller colleges. Chapel Hill is just three hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains and two hours from the North Carolina beaches, getting away for a weekend trip is easy. Temperate weather, quality of life, town or country property choices...it doesn't get better than this.

While trying to convince Americans that a 700 billion dollar bailout to businesses who made bad decisions was in our best interest, we have been told there is no credit for home, car or businesses purchases.     Yesterday, one of my favorite mortgage lenders, Jennifer Foster of Suntrust Bank, ...

It's been quite a week on Wall Street! Nationally housing values are down, stocks have tanked and you may have been wondering where your money might be safe.  Land.  Like gold, they are not making any more.   For investors who are going to hold the land for a couple of years, it is a solid inve...

Wood has a low embodied energy and an added bonus is it is a major part of any carbon-management strategy since trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow. ...
