Walker Real Estate & Associates is a new real estate brokerage.  I am the broker and I started Walker Real Estate with a friend as the result of conversations I was having with agents.  Many agents with large brokerages have complained about how expensive the fees are to work there and with the soft market we have been experiencing can no longer afford to continue working at their companies.  I also had a few agents from small independent brokerages tell me that their brokers decided they didn't want the responsibility of just a few agents so they dropped all their agents.  My friend and I had been talking about opening our own real estate company for at least 5 years but have never done it.  So after hearing these stories I called him and asked if he was still interested in building our own brokerage.  He was still interested and Walker Real Estate & Associates was created.
