About me:
I'm a true independent Agent (not just licensed as a salesperson). I pledge undivided loyalty and full disclosure to all my principals, whether they are Buyers or Sellers. I say "no" to dual agency.
My professional real estate career began in January 1975 when I passed my examination and was licensed as a Salesman under the Real Estate Agents Act of the Province of New Brunswick. In a short time I upgraded my licence and for many years now I've been licensed as an Agent (aka Broker in some jurisdictions).
As an independent Agent I offer my clients my personal pledge of Undivided Loyalty. I provide professional services to my clients, whether buying or selling, and information to consumers who choose to be customers. In my case being an independent Agent has a distinct advantage over being a salesperson for an Agent. Because I do not employ sales people, it is highly unlikely that I find myself faced with a dual agency situation.
In an agency relationship you, the client, has the right to say "NO" to Dual Agency.
As a REALTOR®, I'm proud to adhere to the Canadian Real Estate Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Practice (click here), which requires that I provide a Disclosure of Role - Agency in writing, fully disclosing the role and nature of the service I will be providing.
My Credentials and Expertise
When choosing a person to represent you in real estate, do you favour charisma or credentials? While personal magnetism is an asset, perhaps you should also check your representative's credentials for areas of expertise. A credential is an attestation of qualification, competence, or authority issued to an individual by a third party with a relevant authority or assumed competence to do so.
