About Trish MacDonald Charlotte NC Realtor

I was born and raised in Scotland.  My passion for real estate began when I relocated to Hong Kong in 1996.  I found myself surrounded by real estate professionals, including my sister-in-law, who specializes in expatriate relocation.  I would spend my weekends with her touring homes and condos for potential clients.  I knew then in my heart that I would one day become involved with real estate.  In 2002 my husband and I relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Fl which is where my real estate career began.  I am a licensed Realtor in State of Florida as well as the State of North Carolina.  My business partner, Kathy, is also a licensed Realtor in the State of North Carolina.

Most of my professional career was focused on Operations Management, HR & Administration. In Hong Kong I worked for a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Studios whereby I was responsible for the manufacture and distribution of laser discs throughout the Asia Pacific Region.  Thereafter I joined a consumer camera manufacturer as their Director of Human Resources, this position relocated me to Florida.  I believe that my corporate experience enhances my ability to excel in my real estate career.  

Because of my emphasis on being #1 in customer service, most of my business today comes from referrals and past clients.  I work diligently for my customers while at the same time maintaining professionalism and integrity.

Before you start looking for a home, it's important that you know how much you can afford.  By talking to us in conjunction with one of our mortgage loan partners, you will fully understand the home loan process and how much you can afford to spend on a home.   Factors that affect how much you can borrow include your credit score and debt to income ratio. 

Once you are pre-qualified for a loan, we can move forward in finding your dream home.  

Needs Analysis:  We will perform a detailed needs analysis so that we fully understand your needs, wants and desires in finding the right home for you.

Home Loan Application:  We will guide you through your home loan application process.

Finding A Home: As your property specialists, we will match homes based on your Needs Analysis. 

Neighborhood Information:  We will provide you with all of the relevant neighborhood information that you will need when making your decision to buy a home, including providing a detailed list of all public and private schools in Charlotte and providing community information.

Negotiation Process:  We will use our expertise to assist you in the contract negotiation process.

Inspections:  Once your offer to purchase has been accepted, we will coordinate all of the necessary inspections/appraisal on the property so you don't have to worry about it.

Preclosing:  We will ensure that you are fully prepare for the closing of your loan.

Closing the Transaction:  We will work closely with you and your mortgage coordinator to ensure that you fully understand the HUD-1 Settlement Statement and any questions are answer prior to closing the transaction.

Post Closing:  Now that you are new homeowner, you will need to ensure that utilities are turned on.  We will facilitate this process for you and ensure that you have all of the correct contact information for electricity, water, gas, cable, telephone, etc.

We are a family of two physicians who recently relocated from Ilinois.  This transition was made much more efficient having Trish MacDonald as our Realtor.  We met Trish in June and, until the closing in December, she helped us in every step of this complex process of home buying.

Trish provided us with a bi-weekly report of the houses placed on the market, based on our preferences.  Afterwards, she arranged and accompanied us in probably over 50 visits to different houses.  Once we found the house of our choice, Trish continued to be a valuable source of information, based on her extensive and diverse background in Real Estate.  Trish kept close contact with the closing agent and reviewed several times all of the paperwork generated in this process.  She insisted in us getting a supplementary home inspection which in the long run saved us a considerable amount of money.

Dear Kathy & Trish,

I would like to thank you for all of your hard work also for your help and understanding in our financial troubles.  I called the number on the TV ad for your house.  The next day came two superwomen to save the day and it was Kathy & Trish. They stuck by their word and got "The Job Done!" right.  The TV ad was true.  They day they met with me they gave me money to help with some old bills.  I cashed our check and got cash in hand that same day.  Yes it was hard to sell our home but this was the best thing we could have done for ourselves in order to keep our credit good and clear and to get a better start in life.

I am writing you this letter to tell you what great people Trish and Kathy are.  Back in 2005 my father had problems with his home.  He tried to fix the problems himself and did not get anywhere.  He asked us to help him before he lost his home.  After trying to come up with the money in a short amount of time, we were hitting every major roadblock you could imagine.  The only thing to do was sell or loose everything.  We had received tons of mail every day and phone calls too from Realtors and Investors.  When it comes to your home it's a very personal thing and who you trust is even more important.  There are a lot of people out there just looking to make a quick buck on your mistakes and no one caring about how you and your family end up because they only care about making money.  With that said, when I first spoke with Trish I knew she could help us.  That fifteen minute conversation changed our lives for the better.  With Trish and Kathy's help, we where able to sell and relocate our residence.
