About Starkville:

 Starkville is home to Mississippi State University which keeps our market very fresh.  Parents commonly buy a home or condo for their students.  The prospect of paying a mortgage, instead of renting from someone, while gaining rental income from friends is very enticing.  If they bought in the city limits, it will be easier to sell that house in 4-5 years.  These terms make it a great place to buy and sell real estate.  In addition, the higher end homes of coaches and professors will also transition as these people commonly move around within the university system.  MSU alumni and fans are buying second homes here to be close to the university for sporting events.

We have a great Main Street area with restaurants, bars, and shopping.  The city leaders have adopted a smoking ban in all public buildings.  Expansive sidewalks, excellent lighting, and bike paths make for easy exercise at almost any time.

It's a great town to live in, the commute to work is quick, and the sense of community is impressive.
