A career in Real Estate had been a dream of mine for as long as I could remember. But I always knew real estate demanded a high level of commitment, and the timing would need to be just right.  I would only give my clients (and my family) my very best! 

Then in 1987, my husband and I purchased our very first house.  After that experience, I knew it would just be a matter of time before I took the plunge and fulfilled that dream! I still drive by that first house every now and again, and that WOW-feeling comes back.  "WOW....this is our house!  We can get a cat if we want!  We can paint...or wallpaper!!"  I still get that feeling when I come home to my current home, which I bought in 2001.  I felt that same "WOW" feeling of pride, and still do every time I walk in the door.

And we can't forget selling a house.  Selling that first house and buying our next one...well, that was exciting, too...but also quite a bit scarier!  So many details!!

Since graduating from high school 30+ years ago (where did that time go?!), my work life revolved around numbers and paperwork. I'm great at it!  I've processed mortgage and escrow payments, been responsible for multi-million dollar transactions in the operations area of an Investment Banking firm, and took over the departing Accountant's position at a world class printing company.  Ironically, he left to become a Real Estate Agent!  Most recently, I was employed for 18 years as the Office Manager of a popular, family-owned and operated drycleaner with a reputation for being the best in our suburban area.

So when real estate became my career (yes, there's a huge difference between a job and a career), I wasn't at all intimidated by the number crunching and behind-the-scenes paperwork. However, I've realized how lonely it was behind those desks all those years. I absolutely thrive in this world...helping folks find just the right house, negotiate just the right price and terms whether buying or selling, listening to and alleviating any concerns they may have. I truly believe that my success isn't measured by dollar signs. It's measured by a smile and a "Thank-you, Sue...we couldn't have done this without your help!"
