About Us:

Hi, I'm Sebastian "Seb" Frey - a long time resident and Realtor in Santa Cruz, California.  For those of you from outside the area, Santa Cruz is California's smallest county (after the City/County of San Francisco) and it is nestled between Santa Clara County (and Silicon Valley) and Monterey County (think Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Steinbeck country).  Santa Cruz is an area of staggering beauty - miles of pristine beaches, world-class surfing, ehchanting redwood forests, lush mountains, wineries, orchards - not to mention a world-class University (University of California at Santa Cruz) and what is arguably California's best junior college, Cabrillo College.

I work with a mixture of clients:  first time buyers, investors, Silicon Valley professionals, long-time residents, and newcomers to Santa Cruz from out of the area - even from out of the state.  I especially enjoy working with out-of-town buyers; it is such a delight to show them the eye-popping vistas and the eclectic neighborhoods that Santa Cruz features in such great abundance.

I feel that one of my biggest responsibilities is to help my clients avoid what could be a very costly mistake.    I always counsel buyers to begin with the end in mind - that is, the day they need to sell the property.  I urge my clients to buy the best property they can - not the biggest, not the cheapest.  Look for value, and then drive the hardest bargain the market allows.  As for my seller clients, I push them not to leave money on the table.  I encourage and help them to take the steps necessary to maximize their bottom line. 

I'm also fluent in Spanish, which comes in very handy.  There are many home owners and home buyers here who, although perhaps speak some English, prefer to communicate in Spanish.
