Welcome...
Please take a minute from your busy schedule and read this short little bio about myself... I promise you will not regret it.
First off, it seems like I was around real estate all of my life. My father got into the business around 1976 when I was 10 years old and then went on to open his own company, Prime Realty Inc., in 1980. That's when I got my first job as a janitor in his office. My mother Zee left her nursing career around that time to join my father. She sold at first and then she managed.
Needless to say, from a very early age, my parents involved me in the discussions about the business around the kitchen table which I remember to this day. It was in those early years that I knew I wanted to be a realtor. In the summer of 1986, after graduating from High School, and before University, I got my real estate license and obtained my Brokers license 2 years later.
I graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Science (areas of concentration were in Economics and Urban Geography) and went into sales full time in the family business.
You see, very quickly I became one of the top agents not only in our company but city wide as well. This lasted for 3-4 years before I left sales and got into management and sales training (mistake #1).
Amazingly, we built up Prime to over 70 agents over time and all was well. However, the day to day dealings with other agents was getting taxing on me and over time I started to lose interest very quickly.
Moreover, during the same period, I served on the Windsor Essex County Real Estate Board as a Director for 4 years and chaired various committees (to which I still serve to this day).

Around the late 1990's, during the Internet boom, I seen an on-line opportunity and wrote a business plan in an attempt to try to launch a new business. I went down to Palo Alto, Silicon Valley just south of San Francisco in search of investors.
Surprisingly enough, I landed an Accounting firm as partners and also secured a law firm to work with. There were patents pending in place and everything looked good. I was working on a prototype with programmers and then the inevitable happened.
In 2000, the bombshell dropped...
You see, the Internet bubble burst and down went all hopes. There was virtually no hope of getting any funding and my patent law firm, one of the biggest in the country at that time went belly-up.
Fact is, I was about 2 years too late. Inevitably, I lost all of my savings and pretty much everything. Unfortunately, around the same time, my father and founder of Prime Realty Inc. passed away. Life sucked!
In a nut shell, I realized that both my dreams and father had just died and over the next 3-4 years we just went by trying to fit things in place. It was obvious to me that managing real estate agents was not my calling and something drastic had to happen. Although my dreams died in California, the lessons and experiences did not.
Very quickly, I realized the tremendous Value of Marketing and The Internet and after writing over 20 business plans, I felt that all was not lost. I approached my family and we struck a mutually beneficial deal with Re/Max Preferred Realty Ltd and sold Prime Realty Inc. in 2004.
My point is, now I could do what I always loved, selling real estate, and was able to apply what I learned over the past 10 years to my trade.
With that said, from 2004 to the present...
