Sheep get sheered, pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.  I think we're seeing this maxim is relevent in today's real estate environment and you'll continue to see a lot of sheering and slaughtering in the market .  Real Estate is much, much more than a few photos, MIBOR (MLS) listings, open houses and passing offers back and forth.  Today's real estate broker must provide creativity tailored to each and every buyer, seller and property, dedicated and focused effort, constant communication and most importantly, applied knowledge and experience, It is one thing to know how to buy and sell real estate and quite another to actually buy and sell real estate.  Each real estate transaction is unique.  There are way too many dynamics at play and way too much money involved to plug one of the more important decisions of your life into some canned system taught through some large brokerage.

My goal is for you to look at the HUD-1 statement at closing and recognize that whatever commission numbers are allocated to my firm in lines 700-704 was money well earned.  I'm already counting on your referrals!
