Mortgage planning is more than giving customers what they think they want.  That's simply order-taking.  Now, there is nothing wrong with order-taking, but it is much more gratifying when a customer is willing to discuss and look at other financing options, and their future plans, goals, dreams and desires.  Younger borrowers have different outlooks and priorities compared to older borrowers.  People with fluctuating income have different budget needs than those on salary.  Because a mortgage loan is the biggest obligation most of us will ever incur, it only makes sense for the borrower to have a discussion with a lending professional who will explore ALL the choices, and help make a wise decision.  Creating positive relationships with customers is one of my favorite aspects of this business.
