I started lenderama in January of 2005 as a way to keep in touch with my old client base. I had left my position as an account executive for a wholesale mortgage lender, and wouldn't be making sales calls to all the client relationships I had forged of the years. I had 54 clients. My hope was that 27 (half) of them would read my blog. I underestimated this medium.
Today, thousands of loan professionals visit my blog every week. I've received press in Investors Business Dailey, RIS Media, Inman News, and Inside Mortgage Technology. I was interviewed and quoted for the McGraw Hill published book, Realty Blogging, and even invited to be a contributor to the Inman News Blog. I've been called a pioneer in realty blogging, but from day one, I've been tracking the successes and failures of what other bloggers are doing to better my own efforts.
Along the way, I've always tried to share what I found. At first, I simply maintained a long list of Real Estate and Mortgage Bloggers. Then I turned it into a search engine. Lately I have been interviewing other bloggers to see what they are doing, and even maintain a list of great posts that I think would benefit other bloggers. I've come to the realisation that no one person is the last word in RE blogging. So I've taken the opposite approach. I'm seeking everyone's opinion.
I have questions is my way of bringing Blog Fiesta to Active Rain. Nobody's a true RE blogging expert yet, let's get there together.
