Welcome
My passion for Real Estate began when I first started working in the Housing Department for the Department of Defense. I loved after a renovation project watching the reaction of families relocating in, when they would ooh! and aahh! about the kitchen, or updated bathrooms. Seeing the stress of the move leave their faces as they became comfortable with their new home; much like the excitement of a first time home buyer when they finally choose a home and make their first offer.
After having to take an early retirement due to downsizing, I started a Property Management and Maintenance Company in Maine. For three years provided management and maintenance services for office, residential and vacation properties. In 2003 I was in a serious car accident and had to close the business and take a time out from any type of employment. However all paths led me to Real Estate, where I can be of value servicing you and your family during an important time of your life, the sale or purchase of your home.
A Native of New England having lived in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts. I made a daring move from small town New England to the Greater Tulsa area and I am happy I did.
I am a father of four, two sons and two daughters who have blessed me with thirteen (13) wonderful grandchildren. I served five years in the Army and I am a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Due to downsizing I retired early as a Housing Director for the Department of Defense. I served thousands of Military members and their families, both with military housing and that networked within the local Communities. During the 1st Iraq war dessert storm families from all over the world came flocking to their home towns while spouses deployed. Working to find suitable housing for large numbers within the community was a daunting but successful task. As a result of my experiences I have become (in tune) sensitized to the pressing and varying needs unique to each family. As a result, rather than simply attempting to determine your needs; I have developed the ability to anticipate the needs of those I serve. You my client benefit, as it allows me to be more effective and efficient in providing for your satisfaction; resulting in a smooth transition and a quality Real Estate experience.
Little Things
My hobbies are metal detecting, old bottle hunting and Beach Combing. (No oceans in Oklahoma) Some people call it treasure hunting. I call it fun as it brings out the "Little Boy" in me, the child gets to go out to play. Actually its the thrill of the hunt, just seeking and wondering about what the find will be. I am a down to earth kind of a what you see is what you get type of person. I enjoy meeting people, making new acquaintances and most important, making new friends. Family and friends are important to me. I love Italian and Seafood, of course anything chocolate. My favorite animal is a Labrador Retriever, my favorite books, are The Power of Intention and Real Magic both by Dr. Wayne Dyer. Favorite movies are Remember the Titans, and Good Morning Vietnam. My pet peeve is negativity.
Core beliefs
People first!..Care, compassion, service to others. I attempt to incorporate this philosophy in all my daily activities. My strongest belief is that we are a culmination of our Thoughts and Words put into action. Ones word is sacred, say what you mean...and mean what you say. Just like the saying promises made are promises kept. Our word is our Reputation and our reputation is our most prized possession.
