I grew up in Georgia. Played high school football, basketball, tennis and tract. I graduated from Georgia Southern Universtity with a degree in Economics and Spanish. I earned my JD from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. While earning these degrees, I studied in Spain, France, England, Holland, and Russia.
I have aided in the represention of clients before the United Nations Committee on Human Rights, International Court of Justice, Russian Court of Appeals, Lower Russian Courts, United States Federal Court, Georgia State Court, Georgia Magistrate Court, Georgia Superior Court, and Dekalb County Board of Commissioners.
In addition, I have worked at two of the largest law firms in the Southeast handling litigation and real estate cases.
Later, I decided to open the Law Firm of JP McClelland. We are a multi-practice legal office based in Decatur, Georgia. We specialize in residential and commercial real estate closings, including subdivisions and new construction. Additionally, our Business Department can give legal advice on business formation, permits, licensing, employment issues, and all types of business contracts. Our estate planning department can give you a complete estate plan including a will, necessary trusts, powers of attorney for health care, powers of attorney for financial purposes, living wills, and many other legal services to the residents of the Atlanta area and the entire state of Georgia.
