My husband and I purchased our first home when I was 19 years old. As a first time home buyer, I had no clue what I was doing. REALTORS and lenders seemed to speak a foreign language. I considered myself at least reasonably intelligent, so I was frustrated by my ignorance of real estate. I became intrigued by the entire home buying/lending process, so I began voraciously reading every real estate related book I could find, poring over literally thousands of pages. My desire to work in real estate was put on hold while I raised my 3 children, once all my children were of school age - it was my turn! I immediately enrolled in classes and shortly thereafter took my test. Once I was licensed, I then went on the hunt to find 'the perfect company'. I found it.
