When searching for a Realtor whether you are purchasing or selling property, it can be a very stressful period in your life and that is why it is so important to have a Realtor that knows the area and can give you accurate information, someone you can trust and this describes me and my professional expertise.
While growing up in the nearby Central Valley I developed a love of the foothills and the many nearby lakes. In the mid 1970's I moved to the Bay Area bound for college, a few years later married and started a family, in 1980 my husband and his dad embarked on building the family's vacation dream home on Lake Tulloch. For 10 years we were "weekenders" at the lake, but somewhere along the line we had became locals and part of the community of Copperopolis, every Sunday was painful, we loved the foothill lifestyle and never wanted to leave to the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area but work called. In 1990 we made a life changing decision and decided that the time had come, our son's were 10 & 4 years old and that we were going to raise them in Copperopolis. That is when my career in Real Estate was born.
Shortly after moving to "Copper" I was hired at a local real estate office as an assistant, one year later I got my Real Estate license and was off and running. Real Estate in the foothills is unique from a Realtors point of view; you need a knowledge of a wide area (not a subdivision) a whole county or two. I earned my Brokers license 5 years ago and I am currently a Broker Associate for Sugar Pine Realty / GMAC and our office is located in the Lake Tulloch Plaza Shopping Center. After sixteen years in the business I will be the first to admit that I don't know everything but ask me and I'll bet that I can find out!
Over the years I have been active in many local service organizations, clubs and served on boards, but my passion has always been and still is youth and high school sports. There is no greater feeling than running in to someone in the grocery store (many years later) and have them share with their families that you had driven, coached, sponsored, etc. and made a difference in their lifes. It ranks right up there with the feeling I get when helping someone achieve their goal of buying or selling Real Estate.
Raising two sons here has truly been a blessing, they share our (me & my husband of 29 years) love of the outdoors and all that this area has to offer... Lake Tulloch, New Melones Reservoir, Lake Don Pedro & Lake McClure, Stanislaus & Tuolumne River. Golfing at any of the fine golf courses like Saddle Creek, Green Horn Creek and the newly renovated Lake Don Pedro Golf & Country Club. Winter activities at Bear Valley & Dodge Ridge. Yosemite National Park is always a treat for nature lovers and is just a few hours away. Besides the outdoor activities there is the history that lies in the foothills along with great shopping, dining & wine tasting besides Copperopolis there is Jamestown, Sonora, Coulterville, LaGrange, Angels Camp, Murphys, Columbia & Twain Harte.
