Maureen Cool has called Highlands County home for the past 16 years enjoying all the natural beauty and a relaxed lifestyle her special part of the world has to offer; bass fishing on Lake Istokpoga, water skiing on beautiful crystal clear lakes, hiking and camping in Highlands Hammock State Park, biking around Lake Jackson’s continuous ten mile sidewalk, and canoeing down Arbuckle Creek. Every third weekend in March, Maureen and her family enjoy the 12-Hours of Sebring Car Races from their "Cool" spot on the hairpin turn. She lives Avon Park over looking PineCrest Golf Course, one of the oldest Donald Ross designed courses with her husband Carl and their six-year-old son Danny. She and her family are very active in the community and believe in giving back to where they live. Carl is the County Administrator for Highlands County and her son just started his school career in the Highlands County School System.
