I am a Senior Mold Inspector at Mold Check Professionals in Los Angeles County, CA and I have well over 30 years of construction and mold-related experience. 

I spent many years in the Insurance Repair industry in California and Hawaii. During that time, I worked as a job superintendent, construction estimator, project manager and construction consultant. In all, I have handled over $50 million of work involving all manner and types of construction. My prior mold experience involved anything from minor residential water damage claims up to almost a million square feet of wet, moldy drywall in a large commercial project in Hawaii.

Since 2003, I have performed over 3,000 mold inspections and taken many thousands of air and swab samples. I am a member of the A.C.G.I.H. (American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists) and have received mold instruction at their facilities in Cincinnati. I have also received training from other laboratories and many mold training seminars.

I do Mold Inspections & Testing. My "standard of care" for the clients is not merely the identification or verification that there is a moisture intrusion and contamination situation, but I direct the client to both the causes and their resolution.

We deliver computer-generated reports with photographs and recommendations on what repairs, remediation or cleaning may be necessary, with laboratory results included when samples are taken.

I am able to assist my clients as an expert witness concerning mold, moisture, and construction defects when needed.

We do not perform any repairs to buildings and systems or remediation of mold  contamination, which allows us to be unbiased in our findings. We do refer our clients to qualified specialty repair contractors and remediation companies when they are needed.

I only recommend the taking of ambient air or in-the-wall air samples, swab, tape lift or bulk samples to my clients when the conditions found warrant their taking.

I can take viable (cultural) air samples for medical situations or litigation purposes when clients require them.

I do not accept any gratuities or "kick backs" for repairs or remediation referrals and I pledge this, in writing, to my clients in each report.
