Every REALTOR®, it seems, has the same story. "I love working with people. I love helping people find their dream homes. I
love helping people achieve their real estate goals." Yada, yada, yada.
When I was a kid, my dreams were like every kid's: a teacher, an actress, or a cruise director (call it my Love Boat phase.) For a while, my crush on Erik Estrada had me ready to sign up for the California Highway Patrol upon graduation. I remember breaking a towel bar in the bathroom, doing my Bionic Woman impersonation. I don't think I ever thought of being a real estate agent...but I do remember always noticing the real estate signs here and there around my home in Pike County.
Shortly after the dinosaurs died out, I worked at one of the only one-hour photo labs in Wayne County, as a film tech and free lance photographer. Since the Internet was still a twinkle in Al Gore's eye, only a few REALTORS® brought their 35mm in to be developed quickly. I remember snickering at the horrible pictures and thinking "Man, I could do better than that!" (Working as a film developer was often highly entertaining...I needed to get out more, I suppose.)
Time marched on and I eventually began designing websites for local real estate agents. Enjoying myself immensely, I saw considerable success as a real estate website designer. At some point, I decided I wanted to sell real estate as well.
It's been an interesting journey; I started with a secretarial/assistant position for a small brokerage. Growing restless with the limitations there, I struck out on my own as an independent agent at
WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Paupack Group, a very exciting office to be a part of.
Currently I hold the title of Internet Specialist as well as "REALTOR®." In addition, I was one of the first Lake Wallenpaupack agents to start & maintain a regular blog. It's exciting to be a pioneer!
Real estate has changed over the years. Contracts have become lengthier and are many pages long. Buyer Agency, while taken for granted now, was not always an option; previously, all real estate agents worked for the sellers, not the buyers. Photography has graduated from expensive and clunky 35mm to digital (unfortunately, many agents STILL take lousy pictures!) The Internet has virtually turned the real estate world upside down. (But sorry, Al, you really had little to do with that.)
While some things have changed, the basics have remained the same. I love being a real estate agent and I love hunting down properties, either through tax maps, on the MLS, or driving around Wayne or Pike County. I love riding around with people, getting to know them, building relationships, and having fun while doing it.
Sometimes I am dressed in a navy blue pin striped suit; other times you'll find me in jeans and boots, tromping around wet leaves and rocks looking for the property boundary pins. Either way, I'm always ready for an adventure, and eager to take my clients with me.

No that's not a typo - it's just a short way to say I will DO my due diligence for every one of my clients. I will strive to provide excellent service for you. I'm not going to brag about how fantastic I am - that's not my style. I just want to assure you that I will do my best for you.
