1975 to present...I moved to Bloomington with my family in 1975 and I attended Middle School and High School in Bloomington and in 1984 I graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. My last 18 years in business have been as a Real Estate Professional in Monroe County, including Bloomington and Ellettsville. I spent my first 14 years in Real Estate as a Residential Real Estate Appraiser, so my expertise is PRICE!
Prior to RE/MAX...Prior to joining forces with Remax Realty Professionals I was the Broker/Owner of Stafford & Associates Realty, Inc. for 4 years. In joining the other agents at Remax Realty Professionals in Bloomington I truly feel that my time will be better spent servicing my clients by spending my days helping Buyers and Sellers buy and sell instead of spending a percentage of my days managing a brokerage firm. So if you are planning on Buying or Selling a home or if you have a friend that is planning on Buying or Selling a home than give me a call to if you want the competitive edge!
Prior to real estate...Prior to working in the real estate industry I had been a Sporting Good Manufacturer's Sales Rep. and my territory included Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The sporting goods lines I represented included Pony Baseball, Football and Boxing Shoes, Swingster and Dunbrooke jackets, Brine Soccer, Incrediball, and Markwort Sporting Goods Company out of St. Louis who were Distributors for Rawlings, Converse, Wilson and Louisville Slugger.
Jim's early years...I was born in Long Island, New York and after a few years moved to the San Diego area in southern California where I grew up with my two brothers and two sisters. In the 3rd grade we moved again to Oak Harbor, Washington on Whidbey Island. Jim's Dad worked for Grumman Aerospace for over 30. In August of 1975 Jim's family moved to Bloomington where his Dad worked for Grumman Aerospace at Crane. After raising 5 children Jim's Mom bought The Gourmet's Pantry at College Mall and after a few years moved it to Downtown Bloomington to the Curry Building where she leased space for her deli from CFC, Inc. until she sold s few years later.
