I want to share with you why I became a Real Estate Agent.  My first home buying experience was before I got my Real Estate License.  Let me tell you, it was not pleasant.  I walked away from the closing table feeling like I had made a horrible mistake and that nobody cared if I felt that way.  I was pushed along the process and I didn't know any better to speak up to my agent.  It never crossed my mind that she was on my side, she didn't act like it.  Shortly after that, I got my license.  It started out mostly with the idea that I was educating myself so that no one would do that to me again.  Then I decided that I wanted to join Century 21.  I figured that I could use knowledge to help others so they wouldn't have to go through what I went through.   I just want people to know that I am looking out for them and NEVER want them to feel like I made them do something they didn't want to do.  My approach comes from my experience as a music teacher.  I want to educate my clients.   An educated buyer or seller will make wise decisions, and that is the difference between being GUIDED, not PUSHED. 

My strong points are on the listing side.  Century 21 has excellent marketing.  On top of that, I use a lot of other resources to make sure my listings are "Top of the Line".  Each listing has an 800# recording that I use in the front yard as well as in all printed marketing ads.  It allows me to have a chance to touch base with prospective buyers driving by or reading ads.  I strongly believe that listings need to stand out on the internet.  80% of propsective buyers are on the internet looking for their home before they contact any office or agent.  I take a lot of time to make sure I have a lot of attractive pictures and you must have a virtual tour.  I have my own computer software that lets me sketch out basic floor plans and I include them as a picture on the websites that allow.  Century21.com is our National website.  Agents can go in and enhance their listings with slide shows.  Keep in mind that this is all voluntary and very few agents take advantage.  It is also important that my websites are connected to major search engines. 

Another area of expertise is on forclosures.  I have spent a lot of time this past year learning the forclosure process.  I have had some listings and written offers on forclosed properties.  I have joined with a company called Titanium Solutions.  Their purpose is to work with banks and agents to get help to people who are in danger of forclosing.  I took extensive training to learn options for homeowners to save their home and credit. 

Education is key.  I am to the point where I am taking some kind of class on a weekly basis.  I pride myself on education.  I have always been a good student and I love learning.  My background includes teaching and so I also love teaching what I have learned.  The only bumb question is the one not asked.  I want to help and I need questions.  That is how I know what you need. 

I also have a real connection to helping people buy a home.  Remember, that is why I started this business.
