Once upon a time, there was this boy.  This boy didn't realize it at the time, but he was surrounded by real estate people.  His mother was a real estate broker.  His father was a mortgage banker.

It was destiny.

Seriously, I spent 20 years in the technology field and after buying and selling quite a bit of real estate myself, I decided to go ahead and get a license and change careers.

It was one of the best moves I ever made in my life.

Now I am one of the two owners of Aloha Coast Realty and we have offices in Hilo and Pahoa (with a Kailua-Kona office opening in the next two weeks).  I love what I do, I love the people I meet and I enjoy this a great deal.

Oh, and I get to live in Paradise while I do it.  Life is good.

 

I've done a bit of everything and even sometimes get to use that business degree that I have.  I have a lot of experience on the East Side of Hawaii Island and I'm improving my expertise on the West side of the island.

My husband and I knew little about Puna District and the surrounding area when we came to look for our new home. Once we met John Dirgo we felt like we had known him a long time. Not only is John knowledgeable about the area, but has a great interest in the local culture of Hawai'i and the Puna area. We had such a diverse list of homes and John was happy to spend some quality time with us showing us the area as well as many homes in different subdivisions. He pointed out potential pitfalls as well as upsides to many of the properties. John is an honest, standup guy and we will use his skills exclusively for any future real estate transactions!
