In this slew of some 44,000 Realtors, it can definitely be challenging to stand out in a crowd. There are some areas in which I have found my "niche" however, almost by default, without any attempt at really making them my own. Having studied abroad extensively in Spain throughout high school and my post graduate career, knowledge of the Spanish language and culture have greatly benefited me since coming to Phoenix. I immediately found success in marketing to the Hispanic community, especially amongst the short sale and foreclosure market, currently inundating the greater Phoenix and surrounding areas. Further, working with first-time home buyers quickly became a further passion, as I also work with several young educational professionals, anxiously anticipating the purchase of their first home.
I hold two degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington - a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Secondary Spanish Education. I taught English for three months in Avila, Spain as part of a graduate degree program. In the spring of '06 I completed my first year of teaching Spanish in the states, and decided to make the move to Arizona to continue my teaching career. I taught for three years at a high school in Goodyear, AZ, and served as Instructional Leader for two of those terms. I am a member of several professional associations including the National Association of Realtors, the West Maricopa County Regional Association of REALTORS, the American Council of Teaching Foreign Language, and the American Psychological Association. I am currently working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
