I am a native Vermonter, but have lived on both the southeast and west coasts of the U.S. and can truly testify to the fact that Vermont is a wonderful state to live in.

Yes, we get a lot of snow, but it's beautiful and there is always something to do, whether it be snowboarding/skiing, snowshoeing, sledding or just sitting inside by the fire reading a good book.   With springtime you may get a little mud, but you also get flowers in bloom, and the promise of warm summer days and evenings sitting outside at your favorite restaurant downtown.   In the summer you can't  beat boating on Lake Champlain or any of the surrounding lakes.  And as the days become shorter, fall is when Vermont really shines as the leaves change to a beautiful assortment of orange, red, and yellow.  You can't beat the apple cider up in Stowe's Cider Mill.
