Before I became a real estate advisor 8 years ago, I was a home buyer like you.  Through the years I have worked with many different agents and I've tried to bring those experiences to helping people find their homes.  Like so many others, I stayed in this area after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill.  While I enjoyed my time managing a modern furniture store here in Chapel Hill for several years, I decided to find a career working with something I loved - houses.  I started buying properties around the UNC campus and renting them out to students.  I developed this into a rewarding sideline business but I missed working with people the way I had in the retail setting.  This has turned out to be such a rewarding experience and I've kept so many friendships with my past clients.  And that is really my goal - to not only assist you in your home purchase but to earn your trust.

While I've been fortunate to work with many buyers and sellers with various backgrounds, I enjoy working with new buyers who are taking the leap into home ownership.  Although there are usually many questions, I like the experience of guiding someone through the process and eventually finding their "happy home".  That may sound a little goofy (actually it does) but I know when someone has found the right place and that feeling makes them really happy (me too). 

My investment property experience has also been key to assisting people who want to gain in the real estate game.  There are so many benefits to owning rental properties but finding the right one can be a challenge in the Chapel Hill market.  There is a huge demand for these homes by investors and parents of UNC students that the market time is usually very short and you have to act fast.  I'm on the list of several agents in the area who will call me before a home even gets listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  And there are occasionally some really good deals.

The Chapel Hill and Carrboro housing market has so much variety and so much to offer.  Our appreciation rates are steady and solid and there is a reason this area is in demand.  And it likely will only get better.
