"Purchasing a home for restoration through Historic Salisbury Foundation was a positive experience. We were given the information, details and the explanation of protective covenants in such a manner that was clear and yet non-intimidating. We never felt pressured, and in fact Jack Thomson was extremely helpful and understanding of the huge decision we were making. I would encourage anyone who would like to embark on the path of historic preservation to consider going through this excellent organization in this wonderfully charming town. We are thrilled to have found, through Historic Salisbury Foundation, the incredible Victorian home that we have always wanted."  Charles & Dianne Heidrick

"We write this letter on our balcony on the first anniversary of our home's purchase from your organization.  Buying our home from the Historic Salisbury Foundation was definitely the right thing to do.  Your covenants and protections assure that our home may very possibly live many generations beyond our ownership of it.  You have allowed my family to forever be tied with this historic architectural masterpiece.

As newcomers to the area, your organization instantly made us feel at home in our new community.  We found an abundance of friends and neighbors who shared our interests and passions.  Any needs we had were quickly met and any questions we came up with were answered at the speed of email or faster.  Our transition to this area was made much easier because of our relationship with all of you.

When the time came to build the fences and make changes to the home, we found that you were easy to work with and more than willing to compromise with our needs.  We noticed that Historic Salisbury Foundation understood that the home must work for the people who own it at the time they own it.  Our projects at the home were made better by communicating with your board which was honestly not what we expected to happen.

My family feels forever indebted to, and eternally grateful for, the existence of the Historic Salisbury Foundation.  Thank you for saving our home and for being there when we need you."  Carl J. and Robbie Peters

"Salisbury immediately caught our interest when we chose relocating to North Carolina. We contacted Historic Salisbury Foundation to schedule showing one of their properties listed online.  As we arrived and got a sense of HSF's impact on the community, it was clear this was our town. Our property was correctly represented on all accounts. Afterwards HSF's Director himself showed us around the historic districts. We could have purchased an old home in a number of towns, but what made the difference were the cooperation of the staff at HSF and the overall beauty of a town like Historic Salisbury."   Chad & Kayra Pearson
