I originally got into real estate to help my husband, Jay, who was rehabbing homes over in Baltimore City in Washington Village.  We completed four homes in the City.  They turned out beautiful and we were ready to go.  It proved to be a tough sale though.  A lot of the feedback we got from realtors was that their client would not even get out of the car.  How do you overcome that objection?  We persevered and sold three of the homes and kept one as a rental.  The area has not come up to its expectations.  The City has not cleaned up the drug use and prostitutes in the area.  I believe that is really hurting the value of homes in Washington Village.  Some brave souls are buying.  You can get a beautiful home for a great price.  Gina

Right now my main expertise has been with first time home buyers.  They tend to be humble people who want to learn the home buying process.  Since my motivation is to teach, this becomes a nice fit.  Usually they are eager to learn the home buying process.  There are many programs to help these folks and I am learning the many opportunities the State of MD has available for the first time MD home buyer

We would like to take this opportunity to applaud the efforts of Gina Gulliford.  Gina recently assisted us with the purchase of our new home in Ellicott City.  We needed someone to take us through the entire process and no one could have been more helpful and patient with all of our questions.  She never missed a beat, her concern for what we needed and wanted was a priority from beginning to end.  In addition to being both professional and knowledgeable, Gina was very efficient in finding homes that met our criteria, scheduling the viewings and grouping them together to minimize the time we spent.  She quickly had a good insight as to what would work for us and helped appraise and critique each listing until we found our perfect home.
