I grew up in southern California and was heavily involved with music.  At UCLA I played horn in a wind ensemble and keyboard in a rock band, The Sliverbritches...maybe you've heard of us?  Probably not.  I studied a bit of astrophysics but then ended up in mechanical engineering and squeaked out in 5 years.

I went on to work for Fluor Daniel, an international engineering company based in Orange County, CA. My last year of work there took me to Qwest Communications in Denver, CO, where I fell in love with the mountains.

I then left engineering to attend UC Berkeley and earn an MBA. The highlight was doing a project in Costa Rica on introducing technology to organic coffee farmers in hopes of helping them better manage their plantations. Another was winning the $10,000 Elite Eight Marketing Challenge with my team in which we researched opinions of teenagers on "Go-Gurt" portable yogurt and presented recommendations to its makers.

From Berkeley, I headed south again to marry my wife, Tara, and find a job, eventually finding one with Intrawest in Mammoth Lakes in Fall 2002.  Tara found one that she enjoys at the ski area.  Six months later, I joined Shoulda-Bin-A Cowboy Land & Cattle Co. and earned my real estate license. RE/MAX of Mammoth then recruited me to join their team and that's where I am today.

I am currently involved with High Sierra Resort Ministry, playing music in the Eastern Sierra Chamber Orchestra and in the Sierra Summer Festival, and tutoring local high school students in math. My wife and I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, hiking, running fishing, mtn biking and playing volleyball with fellow Mammoth locals. 

In 2006 we welcomed Shannon into our family and have another baby on the way.
