I am a graduate of Geneva High School, but have lived for over 10 years in the Lake Holiday/Somonauk/Sandwich area.  I attended a community college with an emphasis in business, but also studied design (among other things!!)  I have owned or co-owned a couple of different businesses over the years that specialize in customer service, which, in my opinion, is a dying art.  I have three children, all of which attended or still attend Somonauk schools.  My oldest son graduated valedictorian in 2007 and is currently attending Georgetown University in Washington, DC.  I love spending time with and being a mentor to children, and over the years I have volunteered at the school and I coached soccer for 7 years. 

I first earned my real estate license in 1999.  I enjoy working with all types of buyers and sellers, from first time home buyers, to investors, to vacation home buyers, to retirees, to commercial entrepreneurs.  It is very rewarding to me to bridge the gap between people and their dreams of homeownership.  In addition, educating people through the process of buying or selling real estate is something I take very seriously.  Buying or selling, while a very exciting experience, can be overwhelming and intimidating.  I believe it is my responsibility to lessen the stress for my clients as much as I possibly can.  Continual communication through the process is extremely important to assist with easing the stress.

I am a full time, professional Realtor.  I am a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Aurora Tri-County Board of Realtors.  I am an active member of the Yorkville Chamber of Commerce.  I also am a sponsor of the Children's Miracle Netork, donating towards their cause with every home I sell. 

I serve a wide range of areas.  I focus in the Tri-county areas of Dekalb, LaSalle and Kendall.  Being raised in Kane county, I am very familiar with the different communities, especially the tri-city area of Geneva, Batavia and St Charles, so I am very comfortable working in those areas.  I have also sold property in Will and Kankakee counties.

With a background in business, I do enjoy the marketing aspects of working with homeowners in the selling of their existing homes.  My focus is internet marketing, as 85% of the buyers in our area start on the web first.  My website, www.ResourceInRealEstate.com allows potential buyers to search the entire MLS, multiple listing service.  Not for only RE/MAX listings, but for all of the listings from all of the participating MLS Brokerages.  In addition, there are many links to important information for both buyers and sellers, including links for school report cards, information on mortgages, etc.  Clients who register with my website are able to set up automatic searches based on their search criteria, such as area, price, bedrooms....  Also, clients can save favorites, request showings and request additional information.

With the real estate market undergoing a major correction, a lot of people are inundated with the negative media reports.  Our market has experienced, and is continuing to experience, corrections in home values.  With that being said, we have still experienced an appreciation in home values, albeit smaller than in the past several years, but owning a home is still an appreciating asset!!  While many mortgage programs have disappeared, there are still many loans being offered with 100% financing.  Buyers are still buying, they just have so much more to choose from, so they are able to be choosier.

My passion is assisting people in reaching their goals in real estate.  I love what I do, and take pride in my professionalism.  Building relationships is a great benefit of my career.  What could be more rewarding than helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership??!!
