Client Testimonials

"Being a single woman, a 1st-time buyer and not having prior experience with owning a house, I was a nervous wreck going into this. Several of my friends had bought homes and talked about how their inspector or engineer was in-and-out in 1 hour, and they ended up in the "money pit." Your inspection was very thorough, and I really appreciate the extra time you took in explaining how things work or how to maintain them. The inspection notebook, with all its graphics, and the home repair guide are already proving useful. I'll definitely recommend you to my friends."

Stephanie - Home Buyer

"I didn't realize what a thorough inspection was until I used the Holmes Company. My company has moved me 3 times in 5 years, and I've gotten a home inspection each time. Two of these inspections were by engineering firms and their report was nowhere near as thorough as yours, and the inspection notebook is proving to be invaluable. I still can't believe that in the past I paid $300 for 4 pieces of white paper when I can get something like the Holmes Inspection Co. Manual & Report for the same price. Thank You."

Dewey - Mechanical Engineer

"We had lost 2 other houses in this neighborhood that we had made offers on, because homes in Prairie Village seemed to be "hot" and go very quickly in this market. In order to "lock-in" this deal and not get involved in a bidding war, our Real Estate Agent suggested we make a full price offer, which we did. After your inspection uncovered the problems with the electrical system and the seller's brand new roof, we were able to negotiate a $6,000 reduction in price. Your inspection kept us from seriously overpaying for the house. In Kansas City, that's important. Thanks a lot!"

Gina & Kerry - Home Buyers

"The home inspection and subsequent report you recently provided to my clients in Leavenworth was comprehensive and worth well more than the $275 they spent for your services. Your report indicated that there was a hole in the heat exchanger of the 12-year-old furnace. Since the seller had just had the furnace serviced in the past 2 weeks by a large heating contractor, he disputed your findings. A different heating contractor and a warranty company came out, examined the furnace, and both said it was okay. You came back out to the house, placed a coat hanger in the heat exchanger, and showed the hole to everyone present. That was very humbling to the 'professional repairmen.' Thank You!" (The seller is installing a new furnace for the buyers).

Re/Max Realtor

Just a short thank-you note to you and your inspector, Dan Bowers. Dan inspected the 15-year-old home in Lenexa that our client was trying to buy. The sellers had recently had their foundation repaired and had an engineer's report that said everything was okay. Dan's report raised the issue that, in his opinion, the repairs had not been done properly or adequately to prevent this movement from happening again. Two other engineers, FHA, and another foundation contractor all agreed with Dan's report. This inspection saved my clients thousands of dollars. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dan again to my friends or clients."
