My husband and I have bought and sold 5 homes in the past 15 years. On each of those sales we interviewed real estate agents to determine an agent that we believed would do a good job for us. On each and every one of those sales and purchases we have incredible stories of unprofessional, irresponsible, careless and deliberate lying real estate agents. Our opinion of individuals in real estate sales positions continued to drop with each sale of a home. Our view of most real estate agents was nothing less than inadequate, over paid, non-service oriented sales people and we begrudged most commissions paid to these agents in the past because they did not do their job servicing us as a client.
When we decided to list our last home for sale in Greenville, SC we decided not to interview all the local agents but go directly to a real estate agent that we had personal experience with on a community basis.
The real estate agent we picked was Cheryl Teague of Remax Realty Professionals. Cheryl had years of experience in the area, was connected with a good company and was a person who did what she said - as we experienced in community social dealings.
My husband was far more sceptical and I let Cheryl know his reservations and tainted impression from our past real estate experiences. We worked with Cheryl for months on selling our home. We eventually sold and bought our new home in Greenville where we currently reside. Cheryl Teague was nothing less than professional, honest, hard working, innovative, and proactive and determine to make our sale and purchase a positive, easy and simple experience. She was efficient on returning calls, creating new advertising ideas, entertaining our selling ideas and keeping us up to speed on every showing we booked. She was respectful of our family lifestyle and considered our personal time when booking showing or calling to discuss matters. Cheryl was on top of every item that came her way when the time came to close the deals. Cheryl dealt with inspectors, lawyers, bankers and numerous questions from both sellers and purchasers with regard to house maintenance, appliance operations and minor repairs or concerns. Even weeks after the closing, Cheryl was still reachable for many questions and found the answers. Cheryl Teague is the first real estate agent that we would recommend to friends and family alike. We consider her an outstanding professional real estate agent with tremendous integrity. Cheryl earned every dime of her real estate commission and both my husband and I have a very different impression of the real estate world because of Cheryl!

With regard to selling our Greenville property, Cheryl did everything, for both prospective buyers and large groups of realtors, to ensure maximum exposure. When she identified high potential buyers, she worked very hard to provide them with all the information they needed including numerous comparables to enable them to fully evaluate the benefits and value of our property.
Finally, Cheryl was always very well prepared for all viewing sessions, presenting us with highly professional, full colour information packages on each of the properties we were scheduled to view on any given day. All in all, it was a truly pleasurable, and ultimately very successful, experience working with Cheryl and we would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to buy or sell a home!!

I grew up in the Greenville area and have two children who graduated from Hillcrest High School. My daughter completed college at Winthrop and works in Marketing in Charlotte. My son served in the Navy and now lives in Jacksonville, Florida. He has a 6 year old daughter.
