Paid Search Marketing for listings and sales

How many agents have woken up to the power of paid search marketing? With the percentage of real estate transactions that begin online I think agents in the business of listing and selling real estate who are not up to speed with this are living in the dark ages. If done correctly it can be one of the most cost effective ways to self promote. There are a few varialbes here but the bottom line is that one good listing and sale can pay for a lot of search engine time. I don't see why a forward thinking agent would not be very schooled in these methods.

I have heard about some online auctions that closed and have seen a bunch of craig's list FSBO stuff but it's all about local buyers and their agents. Just my thoughts.
