Buyers begin to make decisions whether they will buy the house as soon as they drive up to it.  We stage the front and the back of the house.  Sometimes it can be as simple as putting pots with flowers by the entry area which will add color and welcome the buyer.  But often the homeowner has had no interest in gardening or yard work and the front of the home lacks interest.

Call in an expert to get and estimate.  You'll be surprised that often it only takes a small investment that will make a huge difference in the look of the home and that can mean the value of the home increases and helps to sell the home faster.

Before you list make sure that the home is ready for the future homeowner.  We believe you only have one chance to make a good impression.  Stage the home inside and out and get the sold sign posted!

I am getting more calls from signs than I am from all my internet postings, I think people are still driving the top neighborhoods they are interested in, so making sure the outside is great is really important.

Great point Karel.  When my husband and I were shopping for a new home (before we both were licensed Realtors) we started on the internet.  One of the houses that sounded really nice in the description was such a disappointment when we drove by that we took it off our list without even going in.  A year or so later when we had finally sold our home and were ready to buy we started working with a Realtor.  When she took us to that very same house my husband and I looked at each other in acknowledgement that we had already eliminated this house.  The Realtor assured us the house was worth looking at, so we went in.

Much to our surprise the home had everything we were looking for and we moved in 30 days.  Moral to this story is:  Buyers - don't judge a book by it's cover.  Sellers - don't forget that first impressions can make or break your sale and the first impression IS the curb appeal.
