My husband, a builder, and I have decided to jointly purchase a business card scanner.  I volunteered to do the research and, of course, came right to ActiveRain where I can always get solid advice.

Do any of you use one on a regular basis?  We are looking for 1) easy to configure, 2) easy to use, 3) feed in  to Outlook (and Access as an added bonus).

I am all about technology, but sometimes things that make it to market are 'not ready for primetime.' If you have one that you like--or one that you don't--would you mind sharing?

Thanks!

I had a CARDSCAN and didn't like it. Not sure what's on the market now!

I don't have a brand name but i can tell you that there are only a couple of them made. A fantastic tool to keep you organized. Office Depot.

Holly, Neat Receipts is a wonderful tool. Scans business cards, as well as organizing all your receipts for tax purposes. I bought one for my husband, and ended up using it myself as well.

Richard--What did you not like about CARDSCAN?  I just had someone else recommend that one.

Thanks, James and Scott for your comments.

Debi--What does Neat Receipts do with the cards once they are scanned? Does it transfer in to Outlook, or is it an image?

Debi, Thanks for the information. I kind of like the idea of one tool to do two things.

Shannon, I will let you know what i end up deciding.
