Edgehill Farm is an affordable neighborhood of 256 homes of various types, in Cary, North Carolina.   Edgehill Farm is situated northwest of the intersection of High House Road and Old Apex Road, and is accessed from either High House Road or Old Apex Road.  There is little through traffic, so streets are commonly quiet.

Raleigh and NC State University are an easy 20 minute commute.  The regional employment center, the Research Triangle Park, "RTP," is about 25 minutes.  Heavy drive-time traffic can affect either commute.

Edgehill Farm was developed in the early/mid 1980's by New Fortis Homes, now part of KHovnanian.  Ninety-seven single family detached and cluster homes comprise Edgehill Farm and Westview Cove.  The Cedar Pointe Condominium complex is 97 affordable condos, with many units enjoying gorgeous lakefront decks or lake views.  51 comfortable homes comprise Planters Pointe Townhomes, offering entry-level priced living in a quiet natural setting.  Planters Woods Townhomes, developed by Horion Homes in the mid-1990's adds eleven homes.

Typical Edgehill Farm single family home amenities include 1150 to 1900 square feet, vaulted ceilings, ranch, 1.5 and 2 story homes, 2 to 4 bedrooms, 2 or 2.5 baths, cluster homes or .18 to .3 acre lots, many garages, central HVAC with natural gas heat, and a suburban cul-de-sac street development.  Recent sale prices are between $155,000 to $191,000.

Westview Cove cluster homes front on the lake, with great views.  They are approximately 1550 square feet, with 2 bedrooms/2 baths, and recent sales have been at $145,000-$157,000.

Cedar Pointe Condominiums are either 2 or 3 bedrooms, with two full baths, ranging from 1,000 to 1500 square feet.  Current sales prices fall in the $110,000 to $145,000 bracket.

Planters Pointe Townhomes are either 2 bedroom/2 bath, or 3 bedroom/3 bath, ranging from 1000 square feet to 1500+ square feet.  Sales prices are in the $100,000 to $140,000 bracket.

Planters Woods Townhomes are two story units, varying from 2 bedrooms/2 baths to 4 bedrooms/2.5 baths, and from 1300 to 1700 square feet.  There have been no recent sales, but prices between $145,000 and $165,000 could be reasonably expected.

School assignments are great Cary schools, and are subject to change by Wake County Public SchoolsMore information on Wake County Public Schools.

Edgehill Farm has a Homeowners' Association.  HOA dues range from $35/month for single family homes, $85 for Planters Woods Townhomes, $128/month for cluster homes in Westview Cove, $150/month for Planters Pointe Townhomes, and $204/month for Cedar Pointe Condominiums.  Fees cover the swimming pool, clubhouse, extensive grounds maintenance, tennis courts, and exterior maintenance on condos and townhomes.

I used to live in RTP...oh, only for about 5 months back in late 2000, early 2001.  Truly was a gorgeous place to live...nice to see that compared to various other parts of the country its still affordable!
