Finally there may be some truly great reason to celebrate.  The government's intervention in the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mortgage fiasco may turn the housing market around.  Since these organizations control half of the mortgages an infusion of cash will prevent them from collapsing.  Chaos would certainly have followed if the government did not take control.

According to the talking heads on GMA, this could result in fewer foreclosures and more buyers being able to secure mortgages.  One analyst thought the turn around could be felt as soon as the second quarter of 2009. This can only be good news for realtors.  I, for one, am going to celebrate tonight...
