Some time ago I wrote a post about Eyejot.com and what a great tool it is. It allows me to keep in touch with clients and colleagues, but it also allows me to communicate with them more effectively because I can record and embed video into my emails. I needed to purchase a USB camera for about $40 as I did not have one existing in my laptop.  But, this minor expenditure and a service subscription for $99/year got me wired for sound!

However, Eyejot has stepped it up to even another level. Recently, I taught a class to a group of Realtors on the latest changes in the mortgage industry from the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008. http://www.realtor.org/gapublic.nsf/pages/hr_3221_key_provisions

After the hour long presentation there were a number of questions asked that I needed to research in order to respond.  In addition to those answers I wanted to send my Realtor partners additional resources to help them in their business.

Eyejot now offers the perfect solution by providing the ability to insert notes and attach documents to the video email.  So after the presentation, I was able to send a video email to the attendees with a link inserted allowing the recipients to search for FHA approved condos anywhere in the country. I was also able to include my reference sheet on the "Top Tips" for real estate agents when writing contracts for government loans. This was such a great way to follow up to a meeting with reference material and a video. It certainly was a streamlined solution as far as turnover of the information, not to mention the impact of giving more value to thirty Realtors a day after our meeting. But what was huge was that my time investment in the follow-up activity was nominal.  This is effective time management at its best.  By the way, if you are interested in receiving the link or the reference sheet, please don't hesitate to contact me!
