I've been wondering about the Mac so thanks for the update.  Love the new little kitty!!

Missy - life is always full, isn't it? Glad to hear you worked out the laptop issue - that would have totally freaked me out. Appreciate knowing the way to handle the wetness, should that ever come up (wine, margaritas, marine layer).

Glad the Mac Book is ok!  That could have been an expensive uh-oh!  LOL

But ... you're as big a sap as I am.  I could not resist that kitten.  But then again that's how we got the 2 dogs and the cat we have now.  They show up and I can't turn them away.  LOL

Missy - That was a twist I was not expecting.  We have a new cat in our house as well (along with the other two). 

Yay, I'm so pleased the MacBook survived...and so quickly! Mine didn't start for over a month, but I did drown it...may as well have thrown it in the pool :) The kitten is adorable, what a cute addition to the Caulk clan :-D

Missy all is well that ends when and a new cat to boot:) I would have been real bummed if that laptop did not work. I actually ruined one by spilling a glass of water into the keyboard. This broght back bad memories(:

Missy - Family members manage to throw us so many curve balls, but the chaos that our loved ones bring into our life is the price we pay for a deeply rich emotional life.  And, if you look at it from the right angle, after a cup of coffee (or a margarita), it's an adventure.

Congratulations on the addition to the family.  It is amazing how we parents get upset about things and the kid sleep thru it.

Very cute scenario - I don't have kids but have many situations where I am saying "I can't believe you did THAT" about the computer particularly.  The cat is cute and things can always be worse - I go to a health food store for juice regularly and there is a woman there who can't help but rescue animals (cats in particular) and has over 30 cats in her house - I can't even imagine!

What an adorable kitten!  How could you possible say no to that?!?  :)  Glad to see you have a new family member.  Oh, and glad your MacBook is working like a charm.

What does that say about Morning Dew vs Margaritas? And why did you have your computer open when you were drinking margaritas? When you play, play!

Missy - I have heard about the rice solution.  I will also keep Poppy's solution in mind.  That kitten is so cute I can see why he or she is still around. 

I'm a sucker for an animal too...have two kitty's now that are Bella and Oreo...been with me three weeks and I'm in love with them already.  They have so much energy though and I am not used to that.  Good luck with yours.

Missy, I'm glad the MacBook is up and running and that kitten is adorable!  I was always the one bringing home animals--my kids have followed suit :)  I'm sure you're attached to it already!

Missy - good news about the MacBook for sure. The last animal my daughter brought home was a bunny! And I have a dog who thought it was a cat - definitely not a good combination. My daughter decided on her own to take the bunny back . . . but if she brought home another dog that would be ok with me. I love animals!

Missy, seems like a great ending to a "coulda been worse" story. So, is the kitty still there? Where did she get it? Did it adopt her? Everyone needs a kitty. I vote to keep it.

If all the dogs are that size, the kitty should be able to handle them.  I hope he grows up to be big and strong, like Wally here.

Just another day in the life...!

Missy, Thankfully the computer is alright. Whew!  My son was always leaving something electronic outside, ALWAYS.  Drove me nuts.  The joys of parenting, right? 

That kitten is too darn cute!  We have one dog, a golden retriever and one cat.  The dog is mine, the cat is my daughters mine.  I too am a sucker for animals.  A dog found me last week when I was showing property out in the country. It was all I could do to not put him in my car.  I wasn't quite sure if it was a stray, or not. I go in the morning for the home inspection and may just have to load him up, if he is still wandering around....he looked pitiful.

Keep us posted on the new addition to your family.  Has kitty met the dogs yet?  Could be interesting! 

Sounds like you have had a fun day.I've spent the day worrying over Chanel(my sweet dog) at the animal hospital. Finally have her home but she wants to stay under the bed.

Jeff, yes I do remember the shower being left on and yes it was the same daughter. Guess someday she'll remember all the things she did my reading my online legacy.

Elizabeth, yes the kitten had met the dogs and they are enamoured with her. They can't quite figure them out, she hides in small places and they wait for her to come down. It has been pretty funny.

Georgina, I imagine she will look just like this when she grows up.

Deb, she got it from someone giving them away. It has been wormed and first shots. My vet who happens to live across the street from me, makes a lot of money from all our animals. Guess who pays? Yep me.

Sharon, when I was at a meet up in N.C with several gals from Activerain, it was almost empty and it only splashed on it, barely but it killed it.

Missy... I just found it humorous.... and it shows that she has such a loving mom.  As my mom use to tell me, I can still love you, but not like what you do.... ;o)

If we were still in Michigan when I was a teen I probably would have done the same thing bringing how kitties, my question is how long would she have hid it from you until you found out? :) We always need more love from an animal glad to see you are giving it a good home. And gotta love macs they are well built.

The moral of this story?  Buy a 10 lb. bag of white in case of emergency and never look a kitten in the eyes if you don't want to keep it.  :0)

Missy, really cute kitten!  And those Mac Books are pretty hard to demolish - although one of my colleagues goofed hers up with a glass of red wine on the keyboard!  fortunatey, it was covered by Apple's protection plan.

I'm a sucker for kittens and cats. Not too much for anything Mac, though.
