Once a week, I am going to post a linkroll of thematically related services and websites. These linkroll posts will be quick write-ups as opposed to our usual, more detailed analysis.
In the first issue, let me share with you the list of the technology blogs I read every day.
- TechCrunch.com - One of the leading technology blogs with close to 1 million feed subscribers. Founded by Michael Arrington, the blog is very opinionated and new product releases, beta and invitation only services are usually announced here first. The focus is mostly on web services and startup companies, but covers innovations from larger companies as well (Google, Apple, Amazon etc).
- ReadWriteWeb.com - With over 200,000 RSS readers, ReadWriteWeb covers similar topics to TechCrunch with focus on startup technologies and Web 2 services. Less conversational and opinionated than TechCrunch, but great analyis nevertheless.
- Mashable.com - Another site to get fresh tech news from. Less conversational than Techcrunch, but covers more services per day with slightly less analysis
- GigaOM.com - More focus on enterprise IT and industry wide analysis. Founder Om Malik is a well-known tech journalist with access to the tech industry's movers and shakers, so expect many great interviews on this blog.
