I saw someone else do this recently and decided it was probably a good idea. What I am doing is bringing to the front some of the blog posts I did earlier about a particular subject, in this case FHA loans.

I really want to spend days and days explaining the intriquite workings of FHA loans, but I don't have the time and you don't want to spend that much time reading. So, I have decided to point you toward some of my past blogs that will explain part of the programs. More will be coming later.

To understand the FHA Secure program (which ends December 31, 2008) take a look at this link: http://activerain.com/blogsview/591203/FHA-Secure or this one: http://activerain.com/blogsview/616415/Wonderful-Panacea-FHA-Secure. This is a program that, in my opinion works. Although most often the people that it is designed to help are already too far gone. But, a workable program.

The FHA Hope program, again in my opinion, doesn't work. Take a look at this link and see if you agree: http://activerain.com/blogsview/639726/HOPE-for-Home-Owners.

But, what about the normal FHA 203b and 234 loans? I have covered various areas of this also. There are also changes taking place and have taken place that I cover here: http://activerain.com/blogsview/652983/FHA-Real-Estate-Loan. Take a look at this blog on manual underwriting: http://activerain.com/blogsview/597591/FHA-Manual-Underwriting, or this one on FHA mixed use commercial loans: http://activerain.com/blogsview/576269/FHA-Facts-Mixed-use, or how about this posting about common myths about FHA loans: http://activerain.com/blogsview/662246/Dispelling-Common-Myths-About. Or, how about this "Did you Know?" http://activerain.com/blogsview/658800/DID-YOU-KNOW-Questions.

One of my favorites is this blog on Kiddy Condos that I appropriated from another Active Rainer, Jeff Bellonger. I made some changes to make it local, but most of the hard work was done by Jeff. Take a look at it here: http://activerain.com/blogsview/603326/Kiddy-Condo-or-how.

The last one I want to bring to the front is this posting about the FHA 203k:   http://activerain.com/blogsview/572726/FHA-2-3k-Streamline. We will have this in-house shortly and I am really looking forward to our own underwriters doing this job. In the meantime, I have a broker solution for these loans, but it is very hard to work with.

In the future, when you think FHA, think Fred, the Eugene Loan Guy. There are other post in my blogs about FHA, but I figure this is enough for today. Have a great September.

Once I figure out how to put this on the right side of my blog page, I will be using this in the future. Since there is so much content here, I just thought it might be nice to include it now.

Great information Fred. This type of professionalism clearly shows your commitment to the borrowers and will set you apart from your competition (what is left of it :))

Carolyn, thank you. I always appreciate you dropping in.

Thesa, I appreciate the comment. I thought it might be a good idea to put them all together.

Thanks Bo. I am trying to keep good information flowing. I believe that 70% of the loans made in the next couple of years will be government.
