Yes, this is a blatant attempt to use a cute and cuddly little critter to grab your attention. I mean, who can resist a photo of a sleepy little kitty all curled up in a bowl? But little Peyton likes to curl up in crockery when it's time for a snooze.
There is something to be said about staying in your own comfort zone. There are certain places that we too, feel safe, secure and protected. There is contentment in familiarity, solace in certainty and protection in proximity to our usual haunts.
But these assurances are fleeting, and a lot of times we are more fully exposed to the realities of life than we think we are. We may feel completely safe and secure, but we must not rely on the usual routines or disciplines to keep the wolves from the door.
In the meantime, I'll enjoy the comfort of my kitties!

Peyton is too cute! I read a book titled Danger in the Comfort Zone and Who Moved my Cheese many years ago. Perhaps I should pull them out and read them again.
Richard - blatant self promotion by kitten. We all go back into our comfort zones so easily, without even thinking. I know that I am more comfortable with a keyboard than I am trying to generate leads on a phone. It is much easier to comment on your posts than it is to call an expired. There are days when I have a very hard time getting out of my keyboard comfort zone. Oh, keep up the kitty blogging.
LIked your blatant attempt at using the cute & cuddly kitten to grab our attention. I agree with the comfort zone it is at times that I get out of it when I think to myself "now that wasn't so bad was it?". It is just the ideas I put in my own head about how horrible the experience will be when it turns out to be fine. Kristin
I'm in the middle of reading Who Moved My Cheese which talks about change. I love my comfort zone which is in my office...on my turf but I know it's' time for change. And your ploy worked with me.....I was drawn like a moth to a flame by Peyton!
Peyton looks very happy. Looks like he'll outgrow that roost soon!
When I was having difficulty with my business---errr lack of ---- my coach recommended I read --- or reread --- 2 books right away. The Instant Millionaire by Mark Fisher and The One Minute Millionaire by Marc Victor Hansen and Robert Allen. Do you have these books? They really helped me think differently and implement a few changes..... It worked!!
Richard.... there is danger indeed in staying isolated in our comfort zone. We don't grow or expand and pretty soon we begin to atrophy. We've tried over the years to adapt as quickly as possible to changes in the marketplace. I would say we all have adapted in a major way by belonging and growing in our blogging efforts.
