Here are the TOP 100 WEB applications according to C|NET and Webware.  One year ago, I created a post of the TOP 100 links I had discovered being a member of ActiveRain.  Webware has done all the work for me this year, so I have to give them ALL the kudos for their research and efforts.

The links here will take you to C|NET and the Webware details for each site so you can see if any of these applications will work for you or your business.  The TOP 100 Web 2.0 applications were selected by 1.9 million Webware readers and Internet users across the World.  Check them out, how many do you use?

In my Opinion, I think they forgot two....

  and

We'll be on this list next year!

For the Record, ActiveRain did rank in the Top 10 Seattle Start-up Index Ratings - Sept. 2008 by TechVibes.

Wow.  Google is really working the list.  I have not even heard of some of these sites.  I will have to check some of them out.  Thanks

Scary, how many of these I know about! Yea, we will be on it next year. :)

09/04/2008 04:49 AM by Missy Caulk-Ann Arbor- Realtor(R)- Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams-Ann Arbor)

Well, I use about 3/4 of these. Some of them I just don't like. And as an avid Google hater, if there is any one of their products that I can avoid using, I will.

09/04/2008 05:52 AM by Lisa Hill (Daytona Beach Real Estate) (Adams Cameron and Company)

Thanks Brad for this link. I am sure that i will find some of these very useful.

09/04/2008 05:55 AM by Michael Sahlman e-PRO - Miami Beach Florida Real Estate (www.HomesForVIPs.com - Keller Williams Realty)

Thank You! Wow, this is an impressive list.  I've never heard of half of these.  I'll spend sometime tonight checking them out.

I can always appreciate a well-done collage! This, to me, is like looking at a well-stocked pantry, only we can eat dozens of meals a day--- or at least snack on these staples and know we'll have GO power :-)

09/04/2008 06:44 AM by Mara Hawks, REALTOR®, Homes For Sale in Auburn-Opelika, Alabama, AU, Lee County (FIRST REALTY)

Hi Brad - Quite a nice list. I would agree that the momentum is building for AR and Localism to be there next year.

09/04/2008 06:46 AM by Bill Gassett Metrowest Massachusetts Real Estate (RE/MAX Executive Realty)

Slowly trying to work through the list of web programs. Thanks for the list and for the reminder about the internet marketing seminar.

Hope it is not too late to register. I forgot.

I use about half of them. Not sure if it's done anything for me, but time will tell.

09/04/2008 07:28 AM by Nancy Larson (M & T Bank)

Brad, as if I didn't have enough to do, now I've got to read up on the 35 sites on this list that I didn't know about yesterday.  Thanks a bunch.

09/04/2008 07:38 AM by Brian Block -- Northern Virginia & D.C. Real Estate (RE/MAX Allegiance)

Brad - I probably utilize about 25% of them, probably even less.  I've heard of about half of them.  Though, I have a special place in my heart for the two that weren't mentioned:-)

09/04/2008 07:54 AM by Jason Sardi, Pennsylvania Mortgage Broker (First Choice Equity Group Inc.)

For a second I thought...oh no, 100 MORE to learn about??  Then realized, like others here, I already use many of them.  Phew...

09/04/2008 08:01 AM by Suzanne Champion ---> Columbus Ohio Real Estate (Coldwell Banker King Thompson - Westerville Ohio)

Wow.  That's quite a list.  I will have to get busy seeing what the others do and IF I need them.  There is only so many tools you can have that can be used effectively.  :).  Thanks for the reminder about the talk show.

09/04/2008 08:13 AM by Kristin Moran ~ San Antonio, Texas ~ Real Estate (RE/MAX Access )

Don't worry about AR missing the list.  At the rate the community is growing you will make the list next year...

Great list and I was suprised that there are only a few I havn't heard about.

09/04/2008 08:46 AM by Josef Katz - Trump University {Marketing Maestro} (Direct Response Marketing)

How dare they skip over two of the best sites around!  I think I shall write them a terse note and remind them of their error!  :)

This is a pretty comprehensive list, even if they did leave us off.  Thanks for sharing.  :)

09/04/2008 08:48 AM by Carol Smith (Soon to be Keller Williams Preferred Realty)

Brad - Yikes, another list of sites to explore. A bunch I know about and have made decisions to use, or not. This could take a while.

Thanks for the great post Brad.

I'm not a geek, but I'm always amazed at how fast technology advances.

And I too believe that with all the work and with over 107,000 members now, ActiveRain will be on that list next year!

Take care,

Craig

I just noticed that 10 out of 100 are Google!

Funny thing is, back on 9/5/2007 (Exactly One Year Ago Tomorrow)
I wrote a post called:  20 Google Tools for your Business.

10 of them made this list, that's pretty Cool!  I shoulda bought stock when it was only $550.00 a share. lol~

Gotta love Google!!  :-)

09/04/2008 09:31 AM by Brad Andersohn ~ Community Builder (ActiveRain)

Hi Brad! I love CNET!! Great list they have put together. Some of these my daughter doesn't even know about. Wow! I am going to go check these out right now so I can completely take her off gaurd and find something before her! Thanks brad. :)

09/04/2008 11:06 AM by Pamela Williamson Team Saint Louis, Missouri Real Estate (Nolting Real Estate and Development)

Brad, Thank you for the list. I know most of the ones on the list, but don't like or use them. I can not believe how many Google icons are up there on the list!!

09/04/2008 11:09 AM by Camarillo CA Real Estate Agent/ Mana Tulberg (Beach View Real Estate)

Brad I agree with you...AR should make the list next year!

09/04/2008 11:10 AM by Jeremy Blanton Myrtle Beach Real Estate (Coldwell Banker Chicora Real Estate)

Thanks for the great information!

09/04/2008 11:49 AM by Janis Trent (Realty USA Southwest, Inc)

It is hard to believe I lived without these couple of years ago. And if you notice almost all of them are free services and yet there is so much competition among companies and truly helping the end user. I can set up a fairly sophesticated website in a day's time spending virtually zero dollars. Technology is good, except for the fact that I spend more time online that necessary :-)

Thanks!

The internet is awesome and overwhelming and it's no wonder that children now spend most of their time in front of the computer instead of outside playing.

09/04/2008 12:08 PM by Colleen McConnell (Century 21 First Realty)

There are way too many place to visit on the Internet. I think you are absolutely right about missing Active|Rain & Localism.

An amazing list, Brad. Can't say I have time to use all of them.  I have my own favorites and of course, AR is quite on the top of the list.

09/04/2008 12:23 PM by Sherry Sim, SRES, E-Pro Covering the Beautiful Central Coast CA (RE/MAX Seven Cities Realty)

Thanks for the update to the ever growing social web. Now if we could just have a few more hours in the day!

09/04/2008 02:38 PM by Debra Drummond | MichiganMoves (RE/MAX on the trail)

I wonder if someday we will have to have a guide to the guide to the guide to the list of lists of links to guides on how to navigate the innavigable internet?

Or maybe our brains will just get bigger and telepathy will handle the rest?

09/04/2008 03:07 PM by Eau Claire Wisconsin Real Estate Agent & e-PRO® Realtor® Shane O'Gorman (Eau Claire Realty, Inc.)

I'm with Missy, it's scary how many of these I do know and most of those I don't have time to use properly...I can't imagine trying to use all of these!  But, when I think back to a year ago....we have come a long way together.  I couldn't have done it without ActiveRain and all of my friends and such great support!

09/04/2008 03:09 PM by Lake Norman Real Estate ~ Diane Aurit (RE/MAX at the Lake)

They didn't come close to getting it right, in my opinion. Not where RE is concerned. And I'm not talking about AR and Localism.

09/04/2008 03:15 PM by Jeff Turner (Real Estate Shows)

I know WOOT.com is a great place for bargains. . but how is this website ends up as part of the  web2.0?

and how is my use of it could end up helping  me?

Please explain. .I'm confused

09/04/2008 03:17 PM by Fernando Herboso Real Estate Maryland, DC and Virginia (Choice Real Estate )

09/04/2008 03:24 PM by Tamara Inzunza, Alexandria VA Real Estate Agent (McEnearney Associates, Inc.)

Thanks for the post - You are always such a great source of info. I am going to do some research on some of the ones I am unfamiliar with.

09/04/2008 03:33 PM by Heather Tawes Nelson ABR, CLHMS - Scottsdale, AZ (Realty Executives Mountain View)

Thanks Brad!

And - I know a lot of them and am also confused at why woot.com ended up on the list. Maybe the feedback and community systems they have for discussing their product?

I just don't think it can compare in usefulness to most of the others.

09/04/2008 03:38 PM by Jon Boyd Ann Arbor Real Estate Buyer's Agent (Home Buyer's Agent of Ann Arbor)

Good info! I use quite a few already and have already started to explore some of the others listed! I am sure next year they will have to add Google Chrome (the new web browser) I just downloaded it and started to explore a little. Looks nice so far!

09/04/2008 04:18 PM by Mike Slager - Holland, MI Realtor (Greenridge Realty)

even better yet, lets move them to the top of the list!  That would rock!

Brad,

Thanks for posting this, it is helpful information, I have added about 10 things from the list to my favorites. It's funny, my wife and I were just trying to send a 12MB file to someone today, and it wouldn't go, and I said "I know their are sites where you can easily send large files, I just don't know which one to use" and here in my inbox sits the answer with several options. Ask and Ye shall receive!!!

09/04/2008 04:41 PM by Jason Daley - Transaction Coordination / Virtual Assistant Services (Web-TCS.com)

PERFECT TIMING!! This is just what I needed to catch me up with all the new stuff 'out there'. THANKS!!! GBU!

Brad-Wow! If as if my mind wasn't already overloaded on all the new stuff on A/R, here you are adding more wonderful and informative information. What's a newbie to do about information overload. HELP!!! You are the best. Thanks for all you do here on AR. Not having AR on the list is a colossal mistake. It is a wonderful tool and one are one of the reasons that it is. God Bless

A lot I've never heard of and a lot from Google!  I'll have to check some of those out.

We will be there next year!

09/04/2008 08:37 PM by Garren Grup, REALTOR, GRI… Naples & Bonita Springs, FL (John R. Wood REALTORS)

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back here to this post.  I just can't keep up with myself anymore these days! lol~  I still have to check some of these out.  I Just went to woot to see what all the "hoot" was about, not sure how it ended up on the list but 1.9 million viewers felt it belonged I guess.  :-))

09/04/2008 09:40 PM by Brad Andersohn ~ Community Builder (ActiveRain)

Stop I've fallen and I can't get up. I don't have the time to keep up with what I have and now add 30 or 40 more sites to check out. Well maybe someday.

09/04/2008 09:45 PM by Terry Westbrook ~ Realtor(R) Grand Rapids Mi Ada/Cascade Real Estate (Five Star Real Estate, LLC Grand Rapids , MI)

Interesting that Zillow made the list, but Trulia did not. Going to take a look at the C|Net site; hopefully they have these sites categorized.

09/04/2008 10:28 PM by John Novak - Las Vegas and Henderson NV Real Estate (Keller Williams Realty The Marketplace)

Thanks for posting the list, Brad.  When I got the daily update from AR I explored a few--there are several that I've never heard of!  I'm looking forward to some free time this weekend to do some more exploring and seeing which are good for me to add to favorites for further investigation--again, thanks.
