Ok guys I know many of you feel politics and real estate don't mix and I agree. We will however experience differently via both candidates. So I've decided to conduct an independent poll. I don't need diatribes on why the candidate you like will be best qualified. The basis of this is to see via AR since we have so many members, in an early prediction, who could be the candidate in Nov.

Here's the jist. I'm asking for you to respond to this blog with three pieces of information only. I will post the results on Friday.

The questions are:

1. Who will you be voting for (please also state if you're undecided)

2. The state where you reside

3. The key major issue for you in this election.

Politics and Realty have to mix on some facet. I personally find it extremely interesting to see how the brother and sisterhood of REALTORS react to this political campaign. After all, whoever wins will definitely have an impact one way or another on our business.

Which do you choose?

Holly - I've been a loyal Democrat for more than 25 years and for the first time since I turned 18 and started voting, I'm not sure I'm going to vote for a President this year.  As a loyal Hillary supporter, I was really disappointed that she received neither the Presedential or VP nomination.  I don't like, trust or respect Obama and my conscience simply won't allow me to vote for him.  I live in CA and for me, the economy, especially the housing market are my primary concerns in this election.  Second would be the war and getting our troops home.

Donne: I too am an avid Hillary supporter who is disappointed she is not our nominee. That said, as a Democrat, you should consider the Supreme Court and what will happen if McCain/Palin and the Talibornagains get control of the Courts. Say goodbye to social progress.

Jimmy: I hope Homeland Security is aware that terrorists are after Legacy Mortgage. It must be hard to go to work.

And a presidential candidate that has been in office 2 decades and has not done much of anything either.

Since you said "O'Bama."  It's OBAMA.

Leaves me wide open to say a few things- He's not Irish.

His name is Barack Hussein Obama.

Or Barry Soetoro- whichever you prefer.

In Canada- stand in line for socialized medicine and wait to die- I have relatives in that state. It's pitiful.

Good luck.

How's the market in Canada?

09/04/2008 10:46 PM by Harriet Carter (North Georgia Mountain Realty)

Hi Harriet,

I was one of those "uninsured" Americans, who paid $1200/month for outside family insurance for 6 months, until I ran out of it.  That insurance, by the way, didn't really cover anything.  It just made the American Insurance Company richer and my family poorer.

To be honest with you, I've been in New Brunswick, CANADA for the last 4 years, and have NO DESIRE to come back to the U.S., especially in the condition it's currently in!!  Canada takes care of their citizens!!!   I only come back to the U.S. for the shopping. LOL

The market is doing very well here in New Brunswick, due to the "Energy Crisis", our market it up.  Check it out!  Plus, I've had no problems with the health care here.  Only it took 3 years to get a "family doctor", but most of our family went to clinics until then.  My spouse broke his ankle and they fixed it excellently, with "no charges".  That is medical coverage that works!!

There are some problems with other areas, where they don't have too many doctors, but again, that's because many of them "go the U.S." to become "RICH".  They get educated here in Canada, and then move to the U.S.!!!

I've got relatives and friends, who have moved to India, China, Japan, Germany, England and France, due to the "AMERICAN CRISIS" with their increased job losses.

You need to "think outside the box", because most Americans, not all, but most are not better off then they were 8 years ago.  Most REALTORS are probably having a field day, but most other Americans, including educated ones, are not better off.

Both my husband and I have Masters degrees, and we "fell through the cracks".  Harriet, if you are a "Glutton For Punishment" be my guest and vote for 4 more years of "Republican chaos"......

Obama/Biden is a clear choice unless you like the mess the Republicans have made of things for the past 8 years.  It will take many years to pay off the largest debt in the history of this nation they have built up.  It's our children and grandchildren that will pay for it.  Stop it now by voting for someone who can bring the CHANGE WE NEED!

I'm not sure whom I'll be voting for, but it won't be either Obama or McCain.  It really don't see any difference between the two.

Tennessee

The major issues for me are the economy, and too much big government.  The Republicans are supposed to be the party of small government, but they really aren't.  Both candidates would increase taxes and the size of government.

I, too, have been encouraging everyone to use their most precious right as Americans to VOTE-

and please, as the above commenter indicated- PLEASE don't throw away your vote on Hillary, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul or any other "write in candidate.
This will be a close race (according to the polls.)
I am voting McCain-Palin- because frankly- it IS all about the company you keep.
It's only NOW getting into the lkeft-wing, mainstream Obama-mania media about Barry's mentors, fundraisers, nefarious friends and associates.
Bill Ayres -the unrepentant American terrorist who bombed the Capital, the Pentagon and New York City police stationswas NOT just a casual acquaintance of Obama's.

He sat on Board's with him and raised funds for Ayres Radical Educational Funds in Chicago.Google: Stanley Kurtz-Annenberg.

Obama's mentor Rev GD America Wright, Black Theology Marxist beliefs,  and Father Fleuger- the list goes on and on.  Typical Chicago political machine thug politics.
Then there is ACORN, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and Obama is up to his eyeballs in all of that.

This country cannot HAVE an Anti-American leader.

I would encourage everyone- no matter what your political bent- to watch Sean Hannity's America tonight at 9 on the Fox News channel- where he will show just how closely Obama is tied with all these parties.

Meanwhile- check out the website:

www.obamawtf.blogspot.com

(Obama-What's the Facts)

The most important election in history.

We have 30 days to get all the facts- and now is not the time to write in your sentimental favorite- I was a Hillary support. But Obama threw her under the bus. He is NOT to be trusted- on ANY level.

Is this poll limited to Realtors?   Seems that way from the posting.  I'll respond anyway.

McCain/Palin

PA

Key issues for me are:

I don't want to the US to get blown off the face of the earth because we have a president that wants to befriend terrorists.

I fail to see how increasing the taxes on the wealthy are going to help the middle class, while many people are criticizing McCain for not having much of a plan to save the economy at least he's not making promises of change and telling people want they want to hear just to get elected.

Integrity and Experience
