Google Reader by Lee Lefever

Lee Lefever is the creator of the Common Craft Blog and all the videos in Plain English. He recently posted one that he created for the Google Reader Team at Google. This one is getting the most out of your Google Reader.

If you don't know why we need a RSS feed reader, you can watch Lee's video on RSS feeds in Plain English on YouTube. You can also go and read a post by Andy Kaufman on RSS feeds and the link to the video is there.

Jon Washburn wrote a post a few weeks ago sharing his statistics from his Google Reader account (which is great for knowing what blogs he is reading).

Sarah Washburn also wrote on a post on Getting Your Blog to the top of Google Reader.

Everyone needs a feed reader, and my personal preference is Google. The only problem I have is the same one I have on Activerain with all my blog subscriptions. Too many, but I'm a nut about being afraid of missing something.

This video on Google Reader is only 1.05 minutes long and I know it will be helpful to you so you can share with your friends what you are reading and they can share with you what you are reading. Follow the Google Reader link and go get set up.

Hi Missy,

Wow, I have learned more about blogging and the real estate industry in the last two weeks (since I joined Active Rain) than I can believe! Since I am a newbie, and figure if you are going to do something you might as well go for broke, your info is very helpful

My only question is do you ever sleep?

Missy - I liked that you told us in advance how long the video clip was - otherwise I wouldn't have clicked on it. I love google reader but do get overwhelmed. Haven't had time to play around - does it give you an option of classifying the various feeds by category? That would help.

Feed Readers are also a great way to clean up your bookmarks, if you favorite a lot of websites just to read headlines, you can have them all in one site which is awesome
