Ralph, would you still name your dog Baxter after yelling his name in public? People give me funny looks like I am calling him bad names.

Lara - Great picture.  Gotta love the pups when they are tired out from swimming, running or playing fetch.  thanks for sharing, and if I was your Mom, I would understand. :)

Lara, We don't get too many funny looks when we yell out Baxter's name.  However, someone told us there was a french movie entitled "Baxter" about a murderous dog by that name.  I assured them we didn't name our meek, happy little poodle after the dog in the movie--but at the time it made me wish we had chosen a different name. 

Casey, my mom did soften and give them treats anyway. She's a great grandma :-)

Ralph, thank goodness I haven't seen that movie. I like the Baxter in Anchorman with Will Farrell when says to the dog, "Baxter, now you know I don't speak Spanish." My Baxter knows some Spanish :-)

Lara- While most do love her and her cuteness, some do not just because she is a pitbull mix (pit/boxer). Yes our beds pretty much match, just the opposite lol. Yup thats right I have leopard print on my bed too (and I picked it out not Ashlee)

Tanya, they are Golden Retrievers. You should meet a couple of sweet little dogs and they will win you over eventually.

Here's a picture of my Baxter getting ready for Halloween.  We took it recently and put it on printed greeting cards to send out to family & friends. 

Ralph, I hate to break it to you, but Baxter doesn't look very scary!
