It seems still far too warm to even think about being back in school but the time has arrived. In our area, school resumes on Monday, August 25. My niece started last week in Tennessee. I called her on Thursday to see how she was doing. This is her first year in middle school. She said, "It is going great. I love it. It is so good to be back with all my friends. Everything is great except the learning!" You read it correctly; she is not interested in school, she is interested in the social aspect of it! I remember when I was in school and would go to school even when I was ill just so I wouldn't miss anything! Some things don't change, I guess.

But that is not the purpose of this blog post. I am writing to remind us all to pay attention when we are driving. As kids are running late, they may not pay much attention at crosswalks, etc. Agents, don't get so involved with a conversation on your cell phone that you fail to pay attention to the school zone.

Have a great day and drive safely!

Carol, I just love the stories about my nephews and nieces.   So social and so true for us about being sick!

Thank you for the reminder as kids get a little excited during the beginning of school and they can forget to be careful.

Howdy Carol

Very good reminder to all of us. We need to keep a watchful eye out for the kids in our areas.

Not only for them forgetting to look both ways. But also for any child that maybe in any kind of trouble.

Thanks for the reminder.  I cannot believe it is time for school again. Where did the summer go?
